Volunteering arises from the society, evolves with it, and acquires its highest meaning through the concepts of solidarity and justice, as an expression of two of most important values of human nature.

Our project aims to empower Latin-American women with residency permits, but who do not have opportunities to work, offering them emotional support, training, and the opportunity to connect with other beneficiaries in similar situations. This includes training, socio-cultural inclusion activities, and practices for migrant women in the process of adjustment, who desire to participate in supportive projects.

The goal is to help beneficiaries assimilate in an autonomous, sustainable, and cohesive way into Catalan society. Participants of the project will also contribute to the other work requirements that are important, contributing their knowledge in tasks of socio-labor inclusion within Catnova.

The Catnova Association is registered in the Catalunya Census of Voluntary Organizations, under: 001967-000.

Volunteer Areas

Participants can choose to participate as volunteers in three areas:

Social-Labor Inclusion

Opportunity to learn or practice the profession of experts in this area and serve by providing support by means of consultancy, intermediation, or additional tasks that can help improve the employability of the beneficiaries.

Cultural Inclusion

By means of fun activities, educational talks and seminars, guided visits to emblematic places in Catalonia, and training in Catalan, we facilitate participants’ familiarization with the local culture.

Comprehensive Training

We encourage participation in workshops that improve and build participants’ transversal, digital, and technical competencies, language education, and knowledge of useful tools for job searching.

Administrative

We conduct administrative training in the different project areas to strengthen participants' skills, as well as support the endeavors of vulnerable clients to improve their life situation(s).

Social Participation

We encourage the development of ideas to generate positive changes in society, and we support projects born from the creativity of the volunteer for their coordination within the organization.
